Bribon wins Trofeo Alicante Trophy in Breitling MedCup 2007
TP52 success for Lewmar

The new Judel-Vrolijk designed TP52 Bribon, using the very latest carbon winch technology from Lewmar, has won the Trofeo Alicante, the first regatta of the 2007 Breitling MedCup circuit.
Launched only 13 days before the start of the regatta, Bribon was the last new 2007 built Transpac 52 to be commissioned and proved herself fast from the outset. Project managed by Ignacio Triay/Hart Jordan and built by King Marine in Valencia, the team completed Bribon in something close to record time, enabling the King of Spain's brand new TP52 to top the 23-boat fleet that turned out for this first regatta of the season. Bribon also lifted the Santa Monica Trophy for the best performance over the two coastal races.
Bribon's lightweight winch package features GP68 Primaries and for the first time on a TP52, a pair of GP60 mainsheet winches, saving 6kg on the overall package.

Bribon's deck layout - Aside from going to the pit winches, lines running aft from the mast can also be directed towards the primaries via a flying block attached to the cockpit sole.
