Lewmar OneTouch Wins 2007 Segeln Award

Readers vote for the most innovative sailing product of 2007

Readers of German magazine Segeln voted Lewmar’s OneTouch winch handle as the most innovative sailing product of 2007. The prize was awarded to Lewmar North Europe at Hanseboot 2007 in Germany.

The magazine had nominated 20 different products, from new yachts to equipment, for its 23,000 strong readership to choose from. Voting criteria included the products’ security features, user friendliness and comfort. Remarked Rainer Schilling, editor of Segeln, “The Award, now in its forth year, has become a very desirable accolade for the winning company, so congratulations should be extended to Lewmar’s practical and innovative winch handle.”

Peter Kutzleb of Lankhorst-Hohorst, Lewmar’s German distributor and Lewmar’s Bas Peute were presented with a special sail shaped trophy as a prize.
