Lewmar has appointed Aquafax, one of the UK’s leading marine distributors, to represent the company in the UK. A family owned company, Aquafax was established in 1982 and represents many leading marine brands in the UK.

Its head office and main distribution warehouse is based centrally in Luton, with branches in Hamble, Middlewich, Norfolk and Plymouth. Aquafax has extensive warehouse space, employs a team of over 60 people and is supported by six salesmen on the road.

“A commitment to a high level of customer service and extensive stock holding is a fundamental reason for selecting Aquafax,” explains Matt Johnston, Lewmar’s Sales Director. Aquafax has further strengthened its team by taking on Amber Sexton as Lewmar product manager. Amber has worked as a service engineer at Lewmar’s Havant-based headquarters for a number of years. She will be based in Aquafax’s Hamble depot and will be responsible for all aspects of service to Lewmar trade customers. The company also plans to have a dedicated field-based Lewmar brand manager whose appointment will soon be announced.

Lewmar is a leading deck equipment company; teaming up with them will enable us to provide our UK client base with windlasses, thrusters, hatches and anchors for powerboats as well as winches, deck hardware and yacht steering for sailboat customers.”
